Love it! My kiddo climbed right in! The zipper is only on the outside so he can’t escape! My guy is 2.5, about 38 inches tall and he fits fine. One time he was throwing a screaming fit at nap time (overtired after the zoo) and I had to put him in and zip it shut and walk away. He fell asleep in minutes and did great. He feels safe and secure in there and loves his “sleep tent”.I wish we had ditched the Pack-n-Play sooner. We have been using this Joovy Travel Tent for almost a year now (we've used it at least 10 times with multiple nights) and it has been the perfect bed for our 3 year old. I like that it zips from the outside so that I can have peace of mind that my toddler isn't going to roam around an unfamiliar place while traveling. It has breathable panels so she never gets overheated. The sleeping pad instantly inflates so as soon as you take it out of the bag, it's good to go. My only gripe is I wish the sleeping pad was a little thicker, but my daughter has never complained so it isn't really an issue. It is a little tricky to fold, but once I watched the video tutorial on how to fold it, I was able to do it without a problem.My daughter calls it the "sleep cave" and she begs to sleep in it even when we are home. I really can't recommend this travel bed enough for toddlers that have outgrown their Pack-n-Plays but aren't ready to just sleep on an open bed.I was looking for a way to have my 1.5 year old son nap on the beach without having to be strapped into the stroller seat so I found this pop up tent. I was weary of the $130+ Price point but here is why you will enjoy this tent over the $40 alternatives.1. Safe sleep surface. Although I have not been able to verify if the AAP directly endorses this particular product for “safe sleep”, it DOES meet all of the AAP safe sleep guidelines for infants 6 months and up. Beware of competitors who have more nylon fabric covering the infant - these can and will become dangerously HOT even in cool weather (have you ever walked into a tent with the fly on during the day? It’s very hot). Also noticed competitors have sloping sides that can partially obstruct infant breathing if places close to the edge.. the Gloo has a generous ~ 90° angle at the base and netting all around the edge so no breathing obstructions.2. The tent comes with a self inflating thermorest quality firm mat that goes beneath the tent for safe sleep.3. Super easy to fold up if you watch the instruction video prior.4. If you compare to cost of a crib or other safe sleep surfaces (doc-a-tot).. it’s very reasonable in price.We used this all through Italy for our 7 month old and it worked great! Someone makes quiet zippers, they have chosen not to use one. Unfortunately once my baby is asleep and in the tent, I cannot zip it closed because it wakes him up.So just disappointed. The blow up mat doesn't really inflate either. It feels the same to me inflated and deflated. He still sleeps in a crib at home and he’s very tall so this large version was our only option that would keep him self contained at night when travelling. The mattress is pretty thin (I guess fixing this would make it too bulky for hand luggage) so we put it on blankets or towels. The tent Amazon sent us had clearly been used and was too bent out of shape to fold up but Joovy provided excellent customer service, first doing a video call to help diagnose the problem and then sending a replacement that does fold up quick and easy as promised.This is the perfect travel bed for babies and toddlers. It packs down smaller and lighter than anything else out there. My babe loves having her own space to sleep and rest in. Joovy makes amazing products and this one is no different. Their customer service is wonderful as well.Great portable travel bed for little one. Used it for flying, the shade provides some darkening. Will also be using on the beach or outdoors to provide shade for the baby. I wanted a travel bed but liked that this can do double duty as she outgrows so many baby items.
