I get frustrated every time I use this chair. I bought it for my disabled nephew, thinking it would be a travel alternative to the full size wheelchair. While it is definitely portable, it has multiple inconveniences and oversights. The plastic latches to lock the chair in place for safer use have to be rotated forward before the chair is completely open as they will be stuck behind the bar and inaccessible for lock use. The footrest must also be pulled forward before complete opening as it will also be inaccessible with the seat in open position. It would be nice to have a chair that opens with all parts into place as it is already dangerous having a special needs person teetering above it after you forget to put all these things in place first. It must also be closed with attention paid to the position of the smaller wheels. If they are in the way, it will not collapse completely. I realize the pictures advertise an elderly person with no seeming disability, but I was hopeful it would be useful for us. Small wins. Big inconveniences. ?
