I love JanSport backpacks, they last forever and I believe most if not all have lifetime warranty. This one seems to be pretty well built, though not sure it’ll last 15+ years like my last black one I had.The only thing to be aware of is the laptop sleeve. My 13” laptop fits fine of course but my 15” is very tight and goes all the way to the top.The corners poke against the backpack and isn’t very comfy. While this is a gaming laptop, it still is pretty thin and small in general.Simple classic JanSport design with updated extras! Extras include 2 water bottle pockets on each side, 3 front zippered pockets/pouches (Large, medium, and small), and an inner laptop sleeve. I like the unisex design and color. The backpack is colored grey with tan JanSport signature patches. The material feels like a durable lightweight canvas that the look and texture of tweed, a fuzzy textured design. Per the inner label, the backpack is made of 100% polyester. It’s well made and functional. It has a carrying Handle/hook on top. The back panel and shoulder straps are padded for comfortable wear on back. The straps are adjustable. It has smooth zippers. It has a padded inner sleeve for a 15” laptop. It has a good amount of room inside the backpack for books and binders. The many zippered pouches and pockets are plus to organize and store stuff - writing tools, skincare, device lines, phone, laptop, headset, etc. per the description, the backpack comes with a lifetime warranty as well! My college student niece and I like the color and texture of the backpack, but my teen was not a fan of the color or texture. Overall, nice functional backpack by JanSport, but the style may not appeal to all.My son loves the backpack. The colors of the backpack are a light gray. I like the fact that it has a good amount of pockets and also lightweight. Inside of the backpack is a large pocket for plenty of storage. The straps are comfortable as well. Finally, the backpack is comfortable around the shoulders and designed well.I have a fairly large two-compartment EastSport backpack that's many years old but still in great shape -- but I wanted something a little smaller for toting my laptop and one (fairly packed) accordion file back and forth from work (about a block apart). This backpack looked cute and compact, and I think good things about the JanSport brand, so it seemed like a winner. It's totally fine, but it's pretty clear that it's more fashion than function. I would definitely not want to be carrying this thing with any significant weight load for any significant amount of time -- the way the straps are constructed, it would just be very uncomfortable. That said, it easily holds my 15" laptop (not fully in the sleeve, but without it pushing against the upper zipper), my accordion file, sometimes an extra accordion file, laptop charger, mouse, and mouse pad. I don't expect it to last as many years as my EastSport has, but I expect it'll be durable enough.Aesthetically, it's got a cute/classic/understated look that I do like. It's not overly trendy, but it's not dorky.Bottom line, if you want something relatively cheap and functional but aren't worried about long-term comfort, this is a fine option. This bag falls far short of the quality I typically expect from JanSport. It's extremely lightweight, which would normally be a plus if the fabric did not feel so cheap. There is minimal organization, and the straps are Target-backpack design and quality. For $25, it might make a decent throway bag for the beach, but at $50 you are paying too much for too little.
